In 2018 West Sussex County Council wrote a guidance in which they banned creating drop kerbs for parallel parking spaces outside residential addresses. Since 2018 you can only park outside you house if your property is 6 meters away from the pavement. That left many streets around Bognor overflowing with parked cars. Our road Linden Road is prime example of this policy clogging up traffic flow around our town and leading to road rage incidents as well as dangerous driving. We as residents want to be able to park our cars legally and safely off the main road and allow better traffic flow. Please help us oppose council's parking ban and put an ease on residential road.
Road is difficult to get through and unsafe. Double decker buses, lorries, taxis and local traffic are all squeezing through with barely any gaps to avoid incoming vehicles. Road rage incidents, accidents and hit and run cases are common occurrence. Drivers go head on on high speed to avoid giving each other way.
