Petition richtet sich an: European Parliament

We, at “International Alliance for Integration and Sustainability” , call for the implementation of an official, publicly accessible website at a national or European level that provides youth citizens aged between 16 and 30, with clear and reliable information about the politicians who represent them.

The purpose of this initiative is to empower youths to make more informed decisions when voting by providing a platform where they can easily access relevant information about their elected representatives. This could include their political affiliations, professional backgrounds, voting records, policy positions, parliamentary activities, and other relevant information about their public responsibilities.

Begründung

By making this information accessible in one place, young citizens would be better equipped to understand who represents them, what their representatives stand for, and how their decisions may affect society.

We believe that access to reliable political information is an important part of democratic participation. A platform of this kind could help reduce the barriers to understanding politics, encourage greater civic engagement, and support more informed elections.

We therefore ask the relevant national and European institutions to consider the development and implementation of such a website, designed to be free to access, easy to navigate, regularly updated, and accessible to all citizens. This petition will also be brought forward to the ministers of youth and education as well as other members of local councils.

As an Example to what we at IAIS are trying to achieve, find a link below to a website showing 4 Politicians of the Mosta local council.

To whom it may concern, by signing this petition you have agreed to the implementation and backing up of our idea.

Warning: For those who do not wish to give personal details when signing, not a problem, when signing, go on the third white box in the first step of signing labeled "Visibility of your support" and click not public and only your name and email will be required.

Warum Menschen unterschreiben

There isn't any reason not to have this sort of website. Ensuring that the public is always kept up to the date with relevant information is what leads to informed voting. When people know what they are voting for, they can feel more confident when doing so.

This petition is important to me because I want to support positive change and raise awareness.

To know which party I have to vote for

Because a friend asked me to

It is necessary within a democratic society for voters to be fully informed when making electoral decisions. Political transparency reinforces trust in public institutions, promotes accountability and enables citizens to make more informed decisions.

Given the importance of these principles to the betterment of society at large, greater political transparency and informed voting should be encouraged
