43% of the gas imported into Europe comes from Russia. Everyday that passes, the EU transfers 300 million euros to Russia. If we act quickly, we don’t need it. Let us reduce our gas consumption and end this war, together ! A simple and engaging gesture, for an immediate, real impact.
From this day and until the end of the armed conflict, we lower our domestic heating by 5°C and ask our companies to do the same. Whether you are heated by gas, oil, electricity or any other energy source, release the energy! 17% of the gaz is used to produce electricity in Europe. Every kilowatt count!
To participate is very simple: turn down your heating and sign this petition.
Finally, share this text with as many people as possible, by e-mail, on social media - or simply discuss it face to face with family, friends, colleagues! We ask all companies to join us in order to strengthen the impact. Hence, do not hesitate to relay the information to your management.
Αιτιολόγηση
It is a gesture accessible to all European citizens, with multiple virtues:
- geopolitical, in order to allow the European authorities to impose the required sanctions and to be able handling the consequences of an embargo on gaz and oil.
- economical, because by reducing your heating by 1°C you save up to 7% on your bill. Revenues from Russia will be heavily impacted.
- social, because if we do nothing, prices will rise very quickly and the most vulnerable will pay a very heavy price.
- ecological, because we will simply consume less.
- solidary, because we are committed alongside Ukrainians.
- personal, because it is unbearable to see the war taking place a few kilometers from home without being able to do anything.
- educational, because our children get involved with us !
