The petitioner calls for amending Directive 96/71/EC to regulate the working conditions of overseas workers active in the provision of IT-related services within the territory of the EU. The petitioner is concerned that if the Directive is not extended to cover the concept of digital workplaces it will fail to protect EU workers in terms of remuneration and labour costs.
