Petition addressed to: Petitionsausschuss des Europäischen Parlaments

The petitioner alleges that one of the most taxed products in Italy are sanitary napkins for women, as they are not considered essential goods. She also claims that a similar problem, known as the “pink tax”, occurs also in other EU countries, such as Sweden, Denmark and Hungary. She requests that VAT on these products be abolished, or at least reduced to the minimum, as has already been done in France, the Netherlands and Ireland.
