EU Countries are already supplying Military equipment to Ukraine, planes are simply that. It's important that Ukraine can control the western airspace to allow for support to continue to flow in and a safer area for its population to move to. In addition greater air support will further hinder Russian convoys.

Everyone knows the famous words pronounced in late September of 1938 by Winston Churchill intended for British Prime Minister, at the time, Neville Chamberlain, after the Munich Agreement, by which Great Britain and France had abandoned Czechoslovakia to Hitler: “You had the choice between war and dishonor. You chose dishonor and you will have war”. Today it is quite possible that history will repeat itself, unless you gentlemen help Ukraine with the weapons necessary to drive Putin's horde away from the frontiers of the free world! Of course, if you really want the free world to live on...

Ukraine has and Air Force, and they won't win a full scale war with Russia. They need defensive capabilities, missile interceptors. Almost all deaths have been from long-range rocket strikes.
