Beide Elternteile haben Anspruch auf 36 Monate Elternzeit. 12 Monate davon müssen innerhalb der ersten drei Lebensjahre genommen werden. 24 Monate können in der Zeit zwischen dem 3. und dem 8. Geburtstag genommen werden. Ferner besteht die Möglichkeit Kinder in einer Tagesbetreuung unterzubringen. Wenn man sich für ein Lebensmodell mit Kinder/n entscheidet, sind dies absolut normale Umstände. Eine Übertragung der elterlichen Verpflichtungen bzw. der damit verbundenen Folgen auf die Allgemeinheit oder gar den Arbeitgeber ist unvertretbar.
