Elpida Nadine Idé has been committed to animals and especially horses on Rhodes since 2006. With passion and love, she takes in animals, places them and helps them to recover. She was also given some horses that were extremely difficult to handle due to their past and were sometimes no longer rideable. Some horses were also born to her and she also bought some of them. So the Elpida Ranch grew together as a family full of different animals and stories.
Ten years ago, Elpida started to run the ranch together with her partner and four more horses joined the family.
For several months now, however, paradise has turned into hell, Elpida and her partner have separated, with her partner banishing her from the ranch and taking everything from her. Her horses are being sold very cheaply against her will and any peaceful solutions, including the offer for Elpida to buy her own horses, have been rejected by her partner. The truth is being distorted and the horse buyers are enriching themselves despite knowing Elpida's fate.
Reden
We, Elpida's guests, volunteers and friends are deeply shocked and have been trying for months to support Elpida as best we can in her fight. We have long thought about going public with this story and originally did not want to go down this route, but we are slowly running out of options and are seeing how her ex-partner is wantonly destroying what Elpida had already started to build up before he met her.
This also threatens the welfare of all the animals there, as many of them already had a difficult past before they came to the ranch and therefore also had other needs.
Now is the time to go public with this story and ask for your help. Together we can probably achieve more popularity of this story, which is our only goal, as we do not know what alse to do.
