Hi! We created this petition to push for the demand for a compulsory sustainable design course in your program's curriculums.

Αιτιολόγηση

Background: Sustainability-related courses in UID are scarce today. Currently, only BFA2 has a course focusing specifically on design for sustainability - a one week crash course currently led by a PhD student (Nicholas Torretta, who finished his teaching duties in Dec-2020). Earlier, IDI had had a half-day workshop on the topic. We, as students in BFA, IDI and MFA levels at UID, want to make sure that UID offers sustainable design courses to every program with a long term vision and a more permeating take on the topic in relation to the overall education. Furthermore, we wish UID invests in hiring well-educated teachers on the topic that can keep the subject alive in the school.
