By purchasing Russian oil and gas, governments around the world are helping finance Russia’s war machine and Russian’s war against Ukraine. A war in which Russian soldiers under the command of Russian officers and Putin are dropping bombs on apartment blocks, schools, hospitals. A war which was unprovoked and is unjustified. The world needs to end its dependence on Russian natural resources in order to defund its military. It is a threat to the entire world.

I am Ukrainian and my people are dying in a war that is waged by Russia. This is not just an open conflict in Ukraine, this is a threat to the security of the world.
