Toronto Blue Jays South Korea-Japan starting pitchers, who are seeking to advance to the postseason as wild cards, had mixed feelings at Coors Field, which is called the "grave of pitchers." Toronto came from behind to lose 7-8 in an away game against the Colorado Rockies at Coors Field on the 3rd (Korea Standard Time). Toronto (74 wins and 62 losses) is in fourth place in the American League wild card race, 1.5 games behind the third-place Texas Rangers (75 wins and 60 losses).
Toronto scored four runs in the top of the first inning alone, leading 5-0 and seemed to continue its momentum of the previous day. However, starting pitcher Yusei Kikuchi collapsed with six hits, four walks, six strikeouts and six runs (two earned runs) in 4.2 innings. It was largely due to the lack of support from the defense. Both errors in the bottom of the second inning and the bottom of the fourth inning led to runs. Toronto, which lost 5-8 in the bottom of the fifth inning by giving up four runs, chased up to one point in the top of the ninth inning, but that was it. Kikuchi will mark 9 wins and 6 losses and an ERA of 3.63.

He allowed two runs on four hits and two walks, including a two-run home run against the Colorado batters, and was responsible for five innings. The number of pitches was 76. After returning from injury, he started in six games with 3 wins and 1 loss, ERA 2.48. He is effectively blocking the opponent's batters with a WHIP of 1.03 and a batting average of 0.213 per inning.
