"For fifteen years, India operated a network of online news outlets, NGOs and websites to spread fake news and false information at the UN and the EU to malign its adversaries, including Pakistan and China." "The network was organized and operated under the supervision of Ankit Srivastava through his India based Srivastava Group. The network’s operations in the EU and Geneva were controlled by Madi Sharma through her NGO Women’s Economic and Social Think Tank (WESTT). According to the EU DisinfoLab’s investigative report of December 9, 2020, online news outlets, including “EU Chronicles” and "EPtoday" operated fake news campaigns against Pakistan. ANI, which is the largest online new agency in India, amplified these fake news stories by feeding it to the mainstream Indian media. These online outlets impersonated to be the official EU media channels. "EPtoday" violated the ban imposed by the EU in 2019 and restarted its fake news operation under "EU Chronicles." India has exploited individual MEPs and used statements attributed to them as official position of the EU."

The initiator of the petition was made aware of the violation of the terms of use by the openPetition editorial team and had five days to revise the petition. This did not happen. The petition was therefore blocked.

● We willen in opstand komen tegen de nepnieuws- en desinformatiecampagnes van India tegen zijn tegenstanders, met name China en Pakistan.

● Via een heimelijk netwerk van online nieuwsuitzendingen, nep-ngo's en nepwebsites heeft India de Europese Unie en zijn burgers misleid door middel van opzettelijke desinformatiecampagnes.

● Strikte maatregelen tegen deze netwerken, zijn operator en aangesloten online (nep)nieuwsplatforms zoals 'EPtoday', 'EU Chronicles' en Asian News International (ANI) zijn wenselijk. Er moet krachtig worden opgetreden tegen de daders en andere betrokken actoren door nepnieuws en desinformatie verspreiden in de EU.

● Toegang tot gratis, eerlijke en waarheidsgetrouwe informatie is een grondrecht en het voeden en verspreiden van valse informatie is een schending van die grondrechten. De bewoners van India, en elke andere burger wereldwijd verdient eerlijke, waarheidsgetrouwe informatie.

● Vijftien jaar lang exploiteerde India een netwerk van online nieuwsuitzendingen, ngo's en websites om nepnieuws en valse informatie te verspreiden bij de VN en de EU om zijn tegenstanders, waaronder China en Pakistan, te belasteren. Dit mag niet langer voortduren.

● Het netwerk werd georganiseerd en geëxploiteerd onder toezicht van Ankit Srivastava via zijn in India gevestigde Srivastava Group.
