El peticionario pide al Parlamento que apoye los llamamientos de la organización internacional para el bienestar de los animales Four Paws, es decir, que establezca una prohibición en toda la UE del transporte de animales vivos a terceros países, limitando dicho transporte dentro de la UE a un máximo de ocho horas; que establezca una prohibición del transporte de animales jóvenes vivos que dependan de la leche materna; que prohíba el transporte cuando la temperatura supere los 30 ºC; y que establezca controles y sanciones eficaces.
