The UpWork site is one of the most significant resources for freelancers. Many citizens of the Russian Federation are registered and working there, which is currently waging bloody and vile war, violating humanitarian law, and destroying infrastructure and civilians. Freelancers from Russia act as self-employed and individual entrepreneurs, pay taxes in their country of residence, and de facto sponsor their criminal and inglorious army, waging a bloody war with peaceful Ukraine.
This is important because Ukraine has now risen in a single rush to repel enemy aggression, and any help is paramount. Depriving the aggressor of any funding sources is one of the essential tasks in which our Western partners can help us.
