The petitioner deplores that Lake Ähtärinjärvi in Finland has fallen to a lower class in the last ecological classification. He alleges a violation of the EU Water Framework Directive, and he claims that there are peat production areas around the lake. He appeals for compliance with the EU Water Framework Directive and for the peat production permits to be revoked.
