On the free air transport for respiratory devices of patients with respiratory insufficiency

The petitioner contests the fact that persons who need a respiratory device to combat sleep apnoea, are obliged by flight companies to board these devices with the luggage in the hold, generating additional costs up to 50 EUR. The petitioner claims there is no reason to store them in the hold as they could be kept equally in the luggage compartments in the plane, without additional charge. He feels discriminated compared to other travellers and invites the Parliament to consider his petition.
