The petitioner expresses concern at the enlargement of the port of Agaete, indicating that 85% of the costs being met by the ERDF. While the Island Council has declared the project to be in the interest of the region, the petitioner alleges that the relevant environmental impact studies were not properly carried out, that the project is unnecessary and that the port is being underutilised.
