On behalf of Pro Romanes EU e.v., bearing 3 further signatures, on alleged discrimination against Roma and Sinti

The petitioner alleges that Sinti and Roma minorities are not universally recognised throughout Germany and the EU and face discrimination even from public authorities. The minorities have no opportunity to engage in their traditions, religion, language and culture. Fear of constant discrimination leads to religion and culture only being expressed in private. Funding applications from the societyfor Structural Fund projects, for which the petitioner serves as chair, are constantly refused. In the petitioner’s opinion, none of the four key areas of the EU Roma Strategy have thus far been initiated.
