The petitioner calls for adopting legislation to ban advertising of alcohol in the EU. He points out that advertising of tobacco products was banned in the EU in 2005 and asks for initiating the same steps with regard to alcohol, given its negative impact on health and other safety and social aspects, namely road accidents, poverty, domestic violence.
