The petitioner is concerned about the future of mobility and autonomous driving. He claims that autonomous driving is an important element in enabling safer traffic and fewer deaths. In his opinion, current and future regulations addressing this development might limit accessibility of this technology to Europeans that could benefit of it. He argues that such restrictions are a threat to road safety, and that the EU should embrace these developments and not stop them
