The petition aims to make owners of agricultural land allow around 5% of their fields to revert to a wild state. Planting trees and hedges would aid noise protection. Animals would be able to find protection and the trees would produce oxygen. The owners of the land should decide which areas they would allow to become overgrown. This would enable them to use areas where the conditions are such that production is restricted.
