"Jung Ji-yoon has decided to stay at Hyundai Engineering & Construction. The final cause of death will be finalized tomorrow," a volleyball source said on Wednesday. 토토
Jung received active love calls from multiple clubs. Excluding Hyundai Engineering & Construction, Club A and Club B made large bets to catch Jung, but his choice was to stay.
He was focused on Hyundai Engineering & Construction, the team he started his professional career and helped him grow as an outside heater. Hyundai Engineering & Construction also captured Jung Ji-yoon's heart by presenting long-term goals and visions.
Jung Ji-yoon, who joined Hyundai Engineering & Construction as the fourth choice in the first round of the 2018-2019 season, became the first free agent in his career after the 2023-2024 season. After moving back and forth between middle blockers, apogit and outside heaters, he fixed his position as an outside heater from the 2021-2022 season, helping Hyundai Engineering & Construction win the integrated title this season.
Prior to the opening of the 2023-2024 season, he started playing in the court in earnest from the second round due to injury to his shin during the call-up of the national team. He played in 115 games and recorded 254 points (34.09% success rate) and 30.65% reception efficiency.
Hyundai E&C has also taken a breather due to Jung's presence. Hyundai E&C, which won the long-awaited first integrated championship under coach Kang Sung-hyung, has avoided power leakage by continuing with Jung.
Middle blocker Na Hyun-soo also remains with Hyundai Engineering & Construction. Na joined KGC Ginseng Corporation (currently Jeonggwanjang) in the 2018-2019 season and wore a Hyundai Engineering & Construction uniform ahead of the 2022-2023 season.
It was included in Group B (more than 50 million won per year and less than 100 million won per year), which only required compensation, not Group A (more than 100 million won per year), which had to pay 200% of the previous season's annual salary and one of the six protected players set by the club, or paid 300% of the previous season's annual salary, but agreed to continue with Hyundai Engineering & Construction.
Hyundai Engineering & Construction, which originally focused on cracking down on house rabbits rather than recruiting outside, is now focusing on Kim Joo-hyang (Group B).
