European Union stop importing Oil and Gas from Russia

This petition was created to bring to the European Parliament the will of different European Citizens to cut imports from Russia, mostly imports in the energy sector.

The European Union imports oil and gas worth several billion euros worth every year from Russia, and we keep doing so.

As I see it, due to the current invasion of Ukraine and the growing evidence of war crimes, we, as Europeans and defensors of free will, human rights and liberty, cannot deliberately ignore this situation.

To keep buying essential commodities from Russia is indirectly to keep financing this war and the suffering of the Ukrainian people. I don't stand for that.

We would feel the consequences of living without Russian gas and oil, but, as an opponent of the war, I prefer to do so than to have our Union financing war crimes. Our Economies would shake and hard times would come, but, from my point of view, this is the least we can do to mitigate the action of the invader in Ukraine.
