The petitioner calls for the closure of a purification plant for waste water in a district of Reggio Calabria. This is a plant which was built in the 1980s and became operational only a decade ago. It is responsible for a stench and open-air discharges of sewage and thus constitutes a serious danger to public health and hygiene.
