Andrageren opfordrer EU til at gå foran med et godt eksempel og vedtage én enkelt og obligatorisk kategori af genanvendeligt plastic, fordi han hævder, at de forskellige typer af plastic, der i øjeblikket anvendes af fabrikanterne, ikke kan genanvendes sammen.Han hævder, at hvis dette ikke sker, vil mængden af plastic i havene i 2050 svare til mængden af fisk målt i vægt.
