Wir möchten uns ganz herzlich bei Euch für Eure wertvolle Unterstützung und Euer grosses Engagement bedanken. Dank Eurer Unterschriften und der breiten Rückendeckung aus der Bevölkerung wurde unsere Petition am 18. März 2025 im Gemeinderat behandelt.
Mit Freude können wir Euch mitteilen, dass wir heute eine offizielle Antwort des Gemeindepräsidenten Hansruedi Kölliker betreffend der Petition erhalten haben. Wir wurden darüber informiert, dass der Gemeinderat beschlossen hat, das Anliegen an den Kantonspolizei Zürich weiterzuleiten. Diese ist für die endgültige Entscheidung zuständig. Es wird beantragt die Fussgängerstreifen im Bereich der Übergänge zum Bahnhof an der Gotthardstrasse wiederherzustellen sowie jene im Kreuzungsbereich der Alten Landstrasse/ Schwandelstrasse zu belassen.
Das ist ein wichtiger Schritt auf dem Weg zu einer möglichen Lösung – und wir hoffen sehr, dass auch die Kantonspolizei Zürich die Notwendigkeit erkennt, dass an diesen Stellen besondere Vortrittsbedürfnisse für Fussgänger das Vorhandensein von Fussgängerstreifen erfordern.
Mit diesem Update möchten wir Euch auch informieren, dass die Kommunikation über die Online-Plattform nun abgeschlossen wird. Zukünftige Informationen und Entwicklungen zu diesem Thema erfolgen über die offiziellen Kanäle der Gemeinde Thalwil.
Nochmals ein grosses Dankeschön für Eure Unterstützung – gemeinsam haben wir hier einen wichtigen Grundstein gelegt!

We would like to thank you very much for your valuable support and your great commitment. Thanks to your signatures and the broad support from the population, our petition was dealt with by the council of Gemeinderat on 18 March 2025.
We are pleased to inform you that we received an official response from the Gemeindepräsident Hansruedi Kölliker regarding the petition today. We have been informed that the Gemeinderat has decided to forward the matter to the Zurich cantonal police. They are responsible for the final decision. It is requested that the pedestrian crossings in the area of the crossings to the railway station on Gotthardstrasse be restored and that those in the crossing area of Alte Landstrasse/ Schwandelstrasse be retained.
This is an important step on the way to a possible solution - and we very much hope that the Zurich cantonal police will also recognise the need for pedestrian crossings at these locations due to special needs for pedestrians to give way.
With this update, we would also like to inform you that communication via the online platform is now being finalised. Future information and developments on this topic will be communicated via the official channels of Gemeinde Thalwil.
