Petition addressed to:
EU Kommission
For some time now there has been more and more advertising on Facebook by fraudsters outside the EU. All kinds of products are offered at very affordable prices. Nobody receives the goods that have been ordered and paid for. Either the buyer receives nothing or a worthless item to keep the buyer happy with the shipment ID for up to 3 months.
I have already reported hundreds of these advertisements on Facebook as SCAM and others have this too. Facebook did not delete the ads and I am of the opinion that Facebook is complicit in this as an accomplice and disregards consumer protection here, after all, Facebook earns a lot of money with these fraudsters. Many of these sellers don't even bother to install an imprint. Company addresses or real company names are extremely rare. Usually the names consist of randomly mixed letters.
I am of the opinion that Facebook should be prohibited from publishing such advertisements and / or checking and recording the data of these advertisers beforehand on the basis of identification documents or similar. These ads are placed worldwide and are usually below the value where the police do not conduct international investigations. Nevertheless, these scammers make large sums of money, as the low purchase price reduces the inhibition threshold to buy.
