This season of regular league champion Wonju DB ended in the semifinals.

Wonju DB lost 63-80 in the fourth playoff game against Busan KCC in the 2023-2024 professional basketball league held at Sajik Gymnasium in Busan on the 21st. They fought evenly 32-38 in the first half, but it was painful to lose momentum by giving up 10 points at the start of the second half. Since then, DB has been chasing hard, but it was not enough to turn the game around.

Coach Kim Joo-sung, who finished his first season as a coach after winning the regular league title and eliminating the semifinal playoff, said, "The playoff loss was due to a lack of coach. We lost the rebound fight, so we couldn't stop Laguna. Personally, I'm disappointed that we couldn't show you fun basketball."

"Players did a good job during the regular season," Kim said after receiving a noticeable report card in his first year as a coach. He said he hoped the players would have an interesting game in the playoffs, but he was caught up in the mood and felt heavy on the players. "I wish the players and I could have experienced this experience at a higher level. I think this season was an opportunity for players to gain more experience," he recalled.
