Say no to Fracking in Austria

The fracking that is currently being discussed in Austria endangers our drinking water and cannot be a solution to cushion the supply bottleneck!
Even with the BEER process designed at the University of Leoben
(Bio Enhanced Energy Recovery), this gas will not eliminate the energy crisis, but only delay it and ultimately intensify the climate catastrophe.
During fracking, water and various additives such as proppants, thickeners, pH buffers, but also biocides, solvents and acids and much more are pumped under high pressure into a deep borehole. This creates cracks in the rock, which in turn allow shale gas to pass through.
It should be clear to anyone who is informed about the substances mentioned that these agents are not without consequences for the environment.
One seventh of the approximately 750 additives used are so-called endocrine disruptors, which disrupt the human hormone balance and are also considered to be the cause of infertility and cancer.
None of us want contaminated water!
The fact that burning the shale gas also causes CO2 and escaping gas is also responsible for the drastic increase in methane worldwide (according to a study by Cornell University, 2019) should also give us food for thought. Methane gas is also a much more effective greenhouse gas than carbon dioxide. Thus, not only the burning, but also the exit is a real climate killer!
Numerous microquakes also occurred in areas where fracking was active.
I ask you to support the other petitions as well.
