Petition addressed to: Petitionsausschuss des Europäischen Parlaments

The petitioner states, that the current EURID (European Registry for Internet Domains) policy for domains of UK citizens is unacceptable. Businesses and individuals within the UK use EU domains and have email addresses attached to these domains. He is in the view that denying UK citizens the ability to renew their EU domain is unfair and will lead to loss of information, accessibility to communications from websites and accounts on such websites. He is also of the opinion that this policy makes the use of an EU domain unsustainable and unreliable for residents in any EU country because of the uncertainty that their country may also leave the EU in the future. He requests that existing holders of domains should be allowed to keep their domains.
