On behalf of the Land Chamber of Agriculture of Lower Austria, signed by 58 473 other individuals, on revising Article 16 of Directive 92/43 with regard to wolf populations  

Petition addressed to: Petitionsausschuss des Europäischen Parlaments

The petitioner states that individual wolves are increasingly encroaching on inhabited areas and threatening the human population, and that agriculture is suffering as farmed animals are killed. He therefore calls for the hunting of certain problematic wolves to be made legal by means of a change to Article 16 of the Habitats Directive. He also states that people who have suffered losses should be compensated.
