On behalf of Ecologists in Action, about the biomethanation and composting plant in Pinto, Madrid

The petitioner reports that the biomethanation plant in Pinto does not have an integrated environment authorisation (the AAI) and its emissions do not comply with regulations, as they should be passing through a heat recovery system which, according to the petitioner, does not exist but for which EU funds were provided. The petitioner states that EU funds received to improve the plant’s energy efficiency have been used fraudulently.
