##Mayfair Casino Ltd. was formerly the Clermont Club, Clemont Leisure (UK) Ltd., located at 44 Berkeley.
The club, which has been out of operation since March 2018, will be refurbished and re-launched in early 2020.
The acquisition is in line with Mayfair's long-term plans to expand its presence in London. It will be Mayfair's second city property, following the acquisition of Leicester Square's Napoleon Casino, which reopened as Horizon Casino in July last year.
A spokesperson for Mayfair Casino says: "We are very excited to add a respected and historic brand to our portfolio and will now focus on a seamless transition period before we begin rebranding and refurbishing our properties. It's a very exciting time for Mayfair Casino Inc."
The Grade I listed building is the only surviving townhouse designed by William Kent, who was built between 1742 and 1745. Since 1950, the address has been a private member's club and casino.
