Latest Sri Lankan Casino To Open In Colombo Rotos Tower

The Colombo Lotus Tower recently opened in Colombo, the capital of Sri Lanka. The building will soon get a casino and entertainment area. According to media reports, the casino and entertainment area will be placed across the second floor of the building, and it will be operated by a Singaporean company, Create Design Pte Limited.

The latest building plans for Sri Lanka casinos are as follows:

Sri Lanka's tourism minister, Diana Gamage, held a press conference last Friday. She said Lotus Tower Management will receive $1.4 million a year when its deal with the Singaporean company ends. We don't yet know if the company will run a casino.

What we know is that the initial agreement will last for 10 years. Gamage added that this agreement will allow Colombo Lotus Tower to develop trade, investment, and tourism activities between Singapore and Sri Lanka.

The casino and entertainment area will spread out over 44,000 square feet on the 11th tallest building in Asia and the 19th tallest building in the world. The tower is 365 meters tall based on six stories of retail and tourism products.

Its main purpose is to operate as a broadcast antenna for radio and television. The antenna currently covers more than 100 stations and providers.

Like other similar towers, the tower also includes a museum, several restaurants, a food court, MICE facilities, a hotel, and an observation deck.

"The investment agreement includes the development of water sports and entertainment zones, one of the best that can be developed at the Lotus Tower in Colombo at a global level," said Cintia Chan, head of business development at Crate Design.

Wilson Sy, first vice president and head of sales and marketing at Megawworld Manilla, said, "The commitment to reviving Manila's old beauty will be evident in the planned design of commercial development in this community."

The company did not clarify whether Metro Manila would need a self-regulated gaming license from Philippine regulator PAGCOR.

Also, as part of the project, the company wants to debut the 389-apartment One Crown Suites condominium tower. The launch is expected to generate 3 billion PHP in sales.

However, it will be fully operational by 2028.
