Support for the Living Heritage House

Born following the closure of the Maison des Cultures du Monde (House of World Cultures) in December 2025, the Maison du Patrimoine Vivant (House of Living Heritage) brings together those curious about intangible cultural heritage—ordinary citizens, informed amateurs, and professionals—as well as community organizations from Vitré and beyond.
Together, they wish to build a project where cultures and practices meet. Vitré and its Benedictine priory, at the gateway to Brittany, embody this crossroads of encounters and openness to the world. Through exhibitions, workshops, and events, the Maison du Patrimoine Vivant aims to be a laboratory for experiencing living heritage, to be lived and passed on.
In a context of cultural fragility and isolation, this project needs everyone's support to strengthen it and demonstrate its social and cultural value.
