Petition is addressed to: Overborgmester København

Dear Mayor Jensen,

We love the beautiful city of Copenhagen. We love its historic buildings, the canals, the wonderful life-infusing parks, and the sense of community. As residents and Købehhavneres, we wish to petition for a change in how the municipality deals with public cleanliness. More specifically, too many people are inconsiderate and endanger public health. We have witnessed an unacceptable level of public urinations, littering, and dog owners not picking up properly after their pets.

We petition that København Municipality implement severe fines for such unsocial behaviour at a minimum of DKK 10,000,000.00 (ten thousand Danish Kroner) per infraction.

We also call for the deployment of public service officers who would administer such fines. These resources could be, for example, redeployed from parking attendants to public health attendants.

We, the undersigned insist that København become one of the cleanest cities in Europe. We hope and urge you to take immediate action!
