es ist nicht nachvollziehbar, dass ein Gesetz aus dem 12. Jahrhundert (Pflichtzölibat) die explizite Absicht des Schöpfers (Gen 2,18 ff.) und die einschlägigen Anweisungen des Apostels Paulus (1. Tim 3 ff.) dauerhaft ausser Kraft setzen soll.

Es ist ja keineswegs der erste Vorstoss in eine solche Richtung. Vgl. z.B. einer der Interventionen in der Schweiz mit der Grundsatzerklärung https://www.kathbern.ch/fileadmin/user_upload/Landeskirche/Landeskirche/Dokumente/Beilage_1a_ESB_D.pdf und den detaillierten Ausführungen dazu unter https://www.kathbern.ch/fileadmin/user_upload/Landeskirche/Landeskirche/Dokumente/Bericht_2_Bericht_Arbeitsgruppe.pdf Wichtig ist es, am Ball zu bleiben und immer wieder an die geschlossenen Kirchentüren zu klopfen. Dass sie einmal aufgeht ist wohl unbestritten, die Frage ist lediglich: Wann.

Jeder Priesteramtskandidat ist freiwillig ins Seminar eingetreten und hat danach freiwillig das Versprechen des Zölibats abgelegt. Jeder röm. kath. Priester der nicht zölibatär lebt, bricht ein Versprechen, dass er freiwillig gegeben hat. Das ist vergleichbar mit einem Ehebruch!
