Ein gut funktionierender ÖV wird gerne als Alternative zum Auto angenommen.

Es ist längst höchste "Eisenbahn", eine "Durchmesserlinie" zu errichten, die sog. "Kopfbahnhalte" beenden kann und neben einer Taktverdichtung kürzere Wartezeiten im Badischen Bahnhof ermöglicht. M.E. sollte auch die Hochrheinbahn nach der Elektrifizierung von der SBB mit den S-Bahnzügen betrieben werden. Als weitere Möglichkeit, die Kandertalbahn nach Basel mit der Regionalbahn zu vernetzen.
