We address you on behalf of many Iranian citizens in Belgium and the wider Iranian diaspora, who are following the current situation in Iran and the growing international tensions with deep concern.

This letter is not an accusation born of anger, but a call to responsibility. We urge the international community to choose diplomacy over war. A military attack on Iran — particularly by the United States — would not lead to peace, but to further destabilization of Iran and the entire Middle East, with severe humanitarian and geopolitical consequences, including for Europe.
Stabilize Iran, and you help stabilize the Middle East.

Such stability can only emerge through dialogue, de-escalation, and a credible path toward a peaceful transition, carried by the Iranian people themselves.

With this open letter, we also make a public promise to the Iranian people:
wherever we live, we will answer every call for peaceful solidarity, and we will continue to raise our voices — with dignity, creativity, and without violence — whenever fundamental rights are violated.

In this context, many of us see Reza Pahlavi as a unifying figure who embodies hope for a significant part of the Iranian population. His consistent call for national unity, the rule of law, reconciliation, and a peaceful future offers a possible anchor for stability and international credibility. For us, this is not nostalgia, but a responsibility toward the future.

We call upon Belgium, Europe, and their partners to:

• actively choose de-escalation and diplomacy,
• help prevent war, and
• morally and diplomatically support a peaceful transition in Iran, should this reflect the will of the Iranian people.

This is not a call from the past.
This is a call from the future.

For stability. For peace. For human dignity.

For a free Iran.
For peace in the Middle East.
