Petition addressed to: Provincie

4.82 ha of nature reserve. By signing, you support a local measure that makes this area more resilient:
🌧 Water safety: more infiltration, less runoff, and a lower risk of flooding.
🌳 Healthier and cooler living environment: trees help absorb CO₂ and fine dust, and reduce heat in the summer.
+ Living ecological connections: a green corridor between Rode, Beersel, Eigenbrakel, and the surrounding area.

This former sand quarry is already designated as a nature reserve. Make it definitive: keep this area as a nature reserve, officially and permanently.

Reason

In Rhode, Beersel, Braine-l’Alleud and the surrounding area, open and green spaces protect us. They allow water to seep into the ground, help limit flooding, provide cooling, improve air quality, and keep our living environment in balance. Without these spaces, that balance is disturbed. That is why it is important to preserve them.

Thank you so much for your support, NatubraBzB, Sint-Genesius-Rode
