Die betreffende Mannschaft spielt unter dem Namen SG FC Bergheim/RB Salzburg Frauen 1c und wird auf deren Website ebenfalls als 1c Mannschaft des Bundesligisten Red Bull Salzburg angeführt. Für B-Mannschaften von Bundesligisten wurde die ÖFB Frauen Future League gegründet. C-Mannschaften sind gemäß §2 der Durchführungsbestimmungen der 2. Frauen Bundesliga nicht spielberechtigt. Diese Statuten wusste man bereits bei Zusammenlegung mit dem FC Red Bull Salzburg.
