We already use English informally as Lingua Franca, specially in the scientific fields. 3. It will further increase the costs of democratic, legal and administrative processes. 4. It will reinforce English as an hegemonic language, reducing cultural diversity, a cornerstone of Swiss Democracy and economic resilience.
