The Undersigned North Beach property owners, businesses and residents hereby request that the Corpus Christi City Council review what we believe to be the incorrect professional staff interpretation of permit applications filed in a FEMA floodplain for improvements to 5 ground-level, substandard structures at 4513 Gulfbreeze Blvd.
Reason
We believe that city staff's acceptance of the extremely low projected costs of the renovations is incorrect and that allowing this project to move forwards endangers property values and public safety in this up-and-coming neighborhood of our city.
Furthermore, allowing blighted structures to be rebuilt at ground level is completely contrary to the city of Corpus Christi's master plan for the redevelopment of North Beach. In fact it undermines that plan.
