I have fears that our water supply will be severely depleted with an influx of more homes, and that crime will rise
The infrastructure cannot support 3000 new homes. Not to mention there is no law enforcement in GV..
Live in GV. Moved here for property sizes and quiet--regardless of political/personal views, people are kind and "live and let live" (at least that we've experienced). 3000 homes means upwards of 7000 human lives, thousands of yards and pets, etc. that need water and supplies. Do not believe the area can absorb such density in general, let alone 3000 homes between us and Kingman.
What is the point in choosing a rustic place to live which is Golden Valley now. If I wanted to live in the city I would have bought a property in the city. Please don’t let this happen.
Infrastructure not enough, affect on water table, wildlife and the people who already live here, Not to mention the quality of the homes this developer builds, very poor.
We purchased these 1 or more acres for simi privacy and not to be in a cookie cutter neighborhood. We built our home in Golden Valley because of the distance between our neighbors. I reached out to Angle Homes looking for a builder in Golden Valley in 2020 and 2022 they said that they WOULD NOT build in the valley, and now they want to build here smh. They’re a greedy home builder 🤬🤬🤬🤬
the reason I love living in Golden Valley is that I don’t have close neighbors and the neighbors I do have don’t complain about all my animals and the smells because they know we are all agriculture in this area and we don’t want to be pushed out or change the way we live!!
Agree with all aforementioned plus more.
Local resources are too limited and a suburban track presents problems we aren't equipped for, including crime and traffic concerns.
water!!water!!!water!!!
Many reasons, let's take adding 5000 to 6000 cars a day,
To demonstrate a unity of neighbors to keep our rural way of living. Increased population with density housing, traffic, water usage are only a few of the detrimental effects of the proposed rezoning request.
Too many houses too close together. Not enough axillary resources to support that many new families. Property needs to stay at the current minimum acreage.
I believe the impact to the current residents have not been considered, increased costs for infrastructure builds, repair of roads, run off changes, the impact on the water table, how change that much wild habitat is going to effect the wild life
I live right here where this is trying to be rezoned and this is not a good idea to have that many homes on 1 acre! This needs to be not approved n stay at the minimum 1.17 acre to build
G.V. does not have the infustructure to support high density housing. The current zoning requirements fit the rural setting. 6000 sf lots is a suburban/urban lot size.
We don't need more crime which will be coming and higher taxes.
People live here BECAUSE there are no subdivisions. The will of the people is evident. The lack of infrastructure is evident and creating an environment where there are too many needs and not enough resources is a recipe for disaster.
We want to stay agriculture
I am concerned because the traffic situation will get worse with too many homes. We need access ro the highway..lights or roundabout. Don't want homes lije Calif.
I moved here wanting open spaces, and dark skies, to live in rural desert, not a city. There is a water shortage, not enough infrastructure for the amount of homes here now, without adding this development. I own property at the edge of this proposal, which will impact my use of that land for what I bought it for.
The land was to be designated to only be used as ranches of 40 acre parcels I believe. The developers are only looking into $$$. They want to change the zoning. I say NO! They don’t care that we don’t have enough water as it is! Go develop up in OR. Or WA where they have plenty of rain! We moved here to get away from cracker box neighborhoods. We love our 10 acres! Angle homes when will it be enough??? 😒
We moved here to get away from a lot of houses, high crime, high prices, noise, pollution, traffic. The water is a big issue as well. Not enough law enforcement.
Not enough water. To many people, we want to keep our town small an relaxed not a house to house subdivisions with no open land. I came here to retire if I wanted a big city I would have stayed there.
I do not want our rural area turned into a city
to stop over crowding in an area that cannot support growth with its present infrastucture Water being first on the list
We are very concerned about water not being available for future generations as well as law enforcement concerns. We enjoy a smaller community. That's why we moved here. We love the small town feel. Thank you.
With the lang being free roam and other homes on larger lots I don’t believe that a smaller lot ten 1 acre would be conducive to our surroundings.
I purchased my property to live in the rural area , 1 acre or more area of Golden Valley. Our infrastructure cannot support this type of growth.
Not enough water. Not enough infrastructure here. No grocery stores, no schools, no decent medical. This is a retirement community that's why we moved here for peace and quiet. Traffic is already horrible. Roads aren't paved and not maintained.
