Because I pay taxes for that land. I should have access to it. If not. Let's takes the taxes away.
Fuxk em we ball..EVERWHERE
DNR traded half the land near my house to some millionaire to put his mansion on and all that is left of the public land that I grew up in is left is Alger Mountain and it is locked year round. I'm sure they'll trade it away soon too if no one is allowed to use it and then we will have nothing
Love to be able to have access for more local places to ride.
We enjoy access to public lands during the summer and it should not be cut off because the government cannot manage a drug problem it helped create.
Family and I like to enjoy recreation on these lands and continue to do trail maintenance.
Recreational.
Public land should be open for public use. Closing it down is ridiculous.
I use these lands regularly and I'm sick and tired of them being gated off.
It’s public land, we pay taxes and should have access to it!
Access to public land for recreational use. Get out to the public land with family and friends. Explore our local treasures close by
We use the mountains responsibly and would love to be able to enjoy the beautiful lands around us.
We all need access to PUBLIC LANDS.
To allow myself, friends, and family to have access to nature!
I believe the public should have unrestricted access to public land
I love getting into the hills as often as I can.
Because we have the right to travel freely and to enjoy the equipment we have spent thousands of dollars on.
I use that land for recreational activities a few times a week
Taking walks through the trails on this land boosts my mental health.
Our family enjoys spending time in these areas. It’s an activity that has kept our kids out of trouble….honestly it kept us out of trouble as teens. There are so few healthy activities for teens and young adults in our area, I hate to see them lose this.
We need more multi-use access in this county
I have been using the land for over thirty years for riding. I pay for orv tabs and need a place for motorized vehicle recreation. We love to ride and and enjoy the mountain and the views, The garbage is a problem for sure and should be dealt with but not by punishing the people enjoying the land.
…
Using these public lands was a big part of my families recreational activities until access was closed
I was a frequent user of the land that they shut down access to
We love riding on the trails with our family. We have done this for years. There is no place to ride at anymore and enjoy our beautiful forests. Its not fair that we have to pay for others who have caused the problems.
This is important to me because I have watched DNR close public lands over and over again. I've watched DNR lease our public lands to private timber companies, and eventually all the public access get removed. This has been an ongoing theme for the past 20 years. More and more public access is stripped from the public. These are our (washington residents) public lands and we the people of Washington state are being restricted access to them. What's is the end goal? It seems like the end goal is to simply remove public access to all public lands.
To regain access to dnr land to enjoy the pnw
I’m a hunter. They’re are very few critters on sumas mountain. People need a playground for motorized vehicles. Let them have sumas. Otherwise they will just go to other foothills where there actually are critters to be hunted. We all know the garbage is coming from the paradise community! And we all know that the stream damage argument is a bunch of !@#$!! They said they spent 30k on garbage cleanup in the last two years. That’s nothing compared to all the other dumb !@#$! this state and county spends money on! Put dumpsters at the bottom of the hill. Will they over flow? yes. but at least all the garbage will be in one spot at the bottom making it cheaper to clean up. People that actually use that mountain for outdoor activity are not the ones dumpin the trash!
The people who truly use this land are respectful and have a presence that deters the dirt bags dumping garbage. Also gates will not deter the dirt bags, they will only stop the people who take care of, clean up, and maintain the land.
