Speed ramps/chicanes on Blenheim road

Because there are of stupid people who use the road like a race track

Safety for children going to school and back home there's a bad bend in the road and some cars use this road as a race track

This petition is important to me because I live by Blenheim Road (I can see it from the back of my house) and I regularly witness the high speeds that people drive at when going up and down Blenheim Road. I have witnessed many near misses and have seen the aftermath of accidents. I have had to adjust my own driving in order to avoid collisions when hot headed drivers race each other. Crossing Blenheim Road at peak times is difficult enough when you have full mobility but it is very precarious if you are elderly or have mobility issues. The cars do not slow down for pedestrians to finish crossing when they drive down Blenheim Road as they have picked up speed so it’s not unusual to see pedestrians in the middle of the road with moving traffic on both sides of them. The bend in the road by Blenheim Primary School and the positioning of a bus stop makes the road difficult to negotiate when travelling at a reasonable speed - especially at the start and end of the school day and parents park by the entrance waiting to collect their children - but when you add impatient, speeding drivers to the mix it becomes an accident waiting to happen. Making the road a 20mph zone without including some other form of traffic calming measure is pointless as it will just be ignored just as the 30mph restriction is now.

My friends house was hit by a car.

Because the traffic on this road continues down Henllys way far exceeding the speed limit. Put up speed cameras and make a fortune and place road on 20mph
