Petition is addressed to: Rockherk Festival

We are calling on Rock Herk Festival in Belgium to follow the lead of countries like Germany and the United States and remove Bob Vylan from its lineup.

At Glastonbury, these artists used the stage to openly call for the death of Israeli soldiers who are risking their lives to defend their country against a globally recognised terror organisation. This is not political expression; it is a clear incitement to violence and hatred.

Music festivals must never provide a platform for hate speech or calls for violence, especially at a time when antisemitism is rising at alarming rates across Europe.

Reason

Music is a tremendous force for good. It unites people. It has power, and yes, it can and should be political at times. But it must never become a rallying cry for murder — not against Jews, and not against anyone else.

This petition is not about silencing criticism of Israel. It is about refusing to normalize or platform those who proudly and unapologetically promote hate speech targeting Jewish people. In today’s dangerous and highly charged environment, especially for Jewish communities across Europe, such rhetoric has real-life consequences.

We are asking Rock Herk Festival to take responsibility and choose unity, not incitement. There should be no stage for hate.

Thank you for your support, European Jewish Association, Brussels
