The petitioner affirms that the democratic principles, the basic values enshrined in the EU Treaties and the fundamental rights of EU citizens are at risk in Hungary. Starting from his own personal case, he argues that the Hungarian judiciary is highly corrupt and lacks independence and calls on the EU institutions to act in order to safeguard the fundamental rights of Hungarian citizens.
