The petitioner calls for a halt to the live export of dogs to countries outside of the Union, such as China, Pakistan and Korea, where they might seriously suffer and be killed for the meat market. The petitioner asks for a change in EU legislation, for more controls at airports and ferry-terminals in order to stop untracked exports.
