On behalf of the “Panhellenic Union of Employees in Hellenic Petroleum”, on alleged violation of EU law, in particular Directive 2004/25/EC on takeover bids, in the tender procedure for the sale of share capital of "Hellenic Petroleum S. A."(HELPE)

The petitioner questions the validity of the tender procedure for the sale of share capital of "Hellenic Petroleum S. A."(HELPE) and its compliance with Directive 2004/25/EC on takeover bids, in particular the provisions relating togeneral principles, protection of minority shareholders, mandatory bid and equitable price,information concerning bids and information to and consultation of employees' representatives.As a result, the petitioner denounces the lack of transparency in the tender procedure and claims that it is in breach with EU law and policy in the fields of energy, energy security and relations with third countries, as well as shareholder and employee protection.
